Qualitair launches competitive range of condensing units
Qualitair has taken the wraps off its much vaunted ‘ICUS’ condensing unit which is set to go head-to-head with the competition competing on price and build quality.
Building on the success and popularity of Qualitair’s existing ICU condenser,
ICUS is a complementary addition to the portfolio that includes the Invicta
Cellar Cooler (ICC) and QLC Low Temperature Ceiling Cassettes that are widely
used throughout the brewing, retail trades and food preparation industry.
Pricing has been a focal driver in the design. There are five models in the range offering nominal duties from 2.5kW through to 8.2kW with a list price starting at just £562.
“We have listened to our wholesalers and customers and taken the opportunity to develop a new lower cost unit that can be sold as a stand-alone or as part of a system with cellar coolers or low temperature cassettes,” comments Tony Twine, Qualitair’s Product Manager.
The ICUS brings the benefits that have always been associated with Qualitair products – high specification materials, componentry and made in the UK at Qualitair’s own factor. This enables Qualitair to provide a competitively priced unit that delivers performance and continues to work in a hard environment without unnecessary callbacks. An additional 3-year warranty gives peace of mind.
The ICU can handle up to 100 metres of pipe-work, whereas the ICUS has been specially designed for 25 metres.
Standard features include:
- Weatherproof painted cabinet with draw through fan assembly
- Access door to compressor and controls compartment on the front of the unit
- Up to 30 metre pipe run
- Low starting current and noise levels
- Compact and small footprint
- Matching existing ranges kW for kW
- High build and quality of components
- Robust construction, built to last
- 3-Year extended warranty
Qualitair will be ensuring continuity of supply through its wholesalers and units will be available ex-stock.
